More than a year ago my wife and I wanted to purchase a mountain bike for my son’s 13th birthday. We decided we didn’t just want any mountain bike – we wanted the best we could get for our money – we just didn’t know where to start.
Now during that time last year we didn’t sell mountain bikes ourselves – we research the products and pass the information on to you, the consumer. So we were able to assist our reader by providing unbiased recommendations based on what we knew at the time.
Some time later, our son rode the bike everyday from summer to late November and it was impossible for us to keep him from riding the bike during the winter months because he loved it so much.
At the time we were researching brands like All GMC and Mongoose and really hadn’t much to do with the mountain bikes on Amazon even though so many people raved about it, we didn’t take too much notice and just brushed it off as one person’s opinion.
How wrong were we!
We had been focusing on what we thought were the best mountain bike brands and totally missed this jewel in the crown. There is more to the GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike than meets the eye so I took some time to really get into the detail and find the best with a full-suspension, extra-strong aluminum frame, the GMC Topkick mountain bike is an ideal choice for both trail riding and rough city riding.
My extensive research finally led me to the GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike.
What to Look for When Buying a Mountain Bike
After looking around both online and off it didn’t take me long to realize that there are a few important things to keep in mind when buying a bike. These are:
- The Frame and size
- Suspension and comfort
- The bikes steady performance on rough terrain
- Brakes and braking system for safety
- Drive-train and wheel set sturdiness
If you buy the first bike that comes along based on price alone then you are sure to be destined for trouble over the long run with your mountain bike purchase and think more in terms of maintenance and bike breakdowns during your long awaited summer vacations. So please follow my lead on this since I will be explaining each of these in detail in relation to the GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike
